 Welcome As a packaging and market research institute we have been working for child safety for more than 30 years. ivm was founded in Braunschweig, Germany, in 1975 as a market research institute for packaging. At that time it was part of Schmalbach-Lubeca AG, then the largest packaging company in Europe. Dr Horst Antonischki, the first general manager of the institute, quickly made the company a success. After a restructuring, ivm was taken over by Dr Horst Antonischki in 1978. In 2006, the legal form was changed into a GmbH (Ltd.). Today, Dr Rolf Abelmann and Dr Horst Antonischki are in charge of the management.
Today, ivm is one of the few accredited institutes (according to EN 45011 as a certification body for child resistant packaging) in Europe that works for high quality standards to ensure that packages, that have been tested child resistant are accepted by both consumers and people from local industry. This is certainly also due to the fact that ivm has been acknowledged by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Many years of success and our customers` loyalty confirm that our professional work meets the expectations and requirements of our customers and of society as a whole. |
